Facebook Ads Guide – Ad approval

Facebook Ads Guide – Ad approval

Following all the rules of Facebook ads is not an easy task. The following questions arise: What can I advertise, how, and whom? And even if you manage to deal with these issues, how long will you wait for this mystery program to verify your material?

Even if you grasp it once, Facebook can change its marketing policy 180 degrees, and then your ad will be rejected. Or it will sit in an advertising purgatory for eternity, with no hope of either gracious rejection or approval for publication.

So we’ve gathered all the information you need about the Blue Book policy in one place. Visit the Facebook ads guide!

Facebook ads – what is it all about?

According to Facebook itself, verification is performed in three steps:

  1. You upload or edit your ad.
  2. Your content is assessed.
  3. The platform accepts or rejects the advertisement.

You learn about the result of this process from a separate email or notification. If your proposal is accepted, Facebook will publish it immediately, and its results will be available to you in the Ads Manager application.

Watch out for traps!

This process must go through new ads that you prepare and those in which you make even small changes, e.g. edit graphics, text, link, change the recipient, choose a new optimization method.

Sometimes your content may be approved first but rejected after a day or two. How it’s possible? Time may indicate that an automated process made the first decision, and the second one was made by the man who checked the algorithm.

How to speed up the verification?

Facebook says that most submitted ads get verified within 24 hours. In fact, this process can take up to several days! We don’t know the official guidelines by which Facebook makes decisions, but we can guess a few tricks.

First of all – don’t break the rules! Do not try to advertise forbidden products; otherwise, you are just wasting your time, and your content will definitely be rejected. Also, be careful when advertising restricted products. It’s best to check in advance that your ad doesn’t contain anything that might cause your ad to be disapproved.

Ideally, the links you include should lead to reliable, well-designed pages. Base your advertisements on creative, high-quality materials – avoid distortions and untruths!

Remember that you can get the fastest verification between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Good luck!
